Kirk helmed the famous starship of the same name, Enterprise takes place in an era when interstellar travel is still in its infancy. Star Trek Enterprise The Complete Series 27 Discs DVD Star Trek Enterprise The Complete Series 27 Discs DVD The first season of Star Trek Enterprise may have begun in the year 2001, but its 2151 A.D. so far as the stars (and the fans) are concerned. Now that the Vulcans have (none too enthusiastically) been persuaded to provide humans with star charts that will permit them to travel through deep space, Captain Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula) and his crew are ready to climb aboard the iEnterprise NX-01i, Earths first Warp Five starship. Loyally serving under Archers command are attractive Vulcan science officer TPol (Jolene Blalock) (who has been sent along because the Vulcans arent entirely convinced that the humans are advanced enough to handle the job alone) Archers old pal Cmdr. Charles Trip Tucker III (Connor Trinneer), the ships chief engineer stuffy British munitions expert Lt. Malcolm Reed (Dominic Keating) interstellar-travel veteran Ensign Travis Mayweather (Anthony A.T. Montgomery), the iEnterprisesi helmsman resident brain Ensign Hoshi Sato (Linda Park), the ships communications officer and Denobulan doctor Phlox (John Billingsley), who has a working knowledge of virtually every species and civilization in the galaxy. And we mustnt forget the ships mascot, Archers pet beagle, Porthos. No sooner has the iEnterprisei undertaken its first mission than the crew discovers that they have become enmeshed in the long-running Temporal Cold War, and that they had better keep several steps ahead of a mysterious futuristic, genetically manipulative race called the Suliban. Along the way, the iEnterprisei personnel have their first major encounters with the redoubtable Klingons and the mercurial Ferengi (though the latter race is never identified by name), the sensitive Hoshi has her first panic attack, the entire crew becomes hostile and paranoid thanks to a hallucinogenic pollen, a rapidly growing alien baby threatens to engulf the iEnterprisei, the mystery of the lost colony Terra Nova is solved in rather disturbing fashion, Trip uncovers a startling secret about TPol, and a Suliban subversive manages to insinuate himself onto the ship. Also, fans of the old sci-fi series Quantum Leap should enjoy the episode Detained, which reunites actors Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell. The season ends with the first of Star Trek Enterprises cliffhangers, as Archer and former crew member Daniels (Matt Winston) are compelled to travel through time to thwart a deadly Suliban sabotage scheme. The episode harked back to the classic 1990 INext GenerationI season-ender Best of Both Worlds, wherein the insidious Borg took over the mind and shape of Captain Jean-Luc Picard to launch an attack on the Federation. Three years later, Benjamin Sisko, survivor of the Borg attack, is assigned as commander of Deep Space Nine, a run-down former Cardassian space station in Bajoran territory. Siskos first assignment is to oversee repairs of Deep Space Nine, but as the story progresses, he finds that he has been predestined to repair the tattered remnants of Bajors ruined economy. Patrick Stewart guest stars in his familiar role of Captain Picard, who the embittered Sisko holds responsible for his own wifes death. The sole survivor of a spaceship crash on the remote planet Thesus when he was three years old, Charlie spent 14 years alone, learning to talk and how to survive from the crashed ships computer tapes. The iEnterprisei is to transport him to his closest living relatives, and he is eager, after so many years alone, to meet more people. Science officer Spock (Leonard Nimoy) is doubtful of the boys story, because of the sheer barren nature of Thesus, but Chief Medical Officer Dr. McCoy (DeForest Kelley) is willing to take him at face value, and Captain Kirk (William Shatner) finds the boy looking up to him as a guide into this new world. Charlie is like any healthy 17-year-old in that he wants to be liked, and wants friends and more he also develops a hopeless crush on Yoeman Janice Rand (Grace Lee Whitney). But Kirk (William Shatner) and company discover that Charlie is unlike any 17-year-old, in that he has somehow developed immense and terrifying mental powers, apparently from his years on Thesus, enabling him to transform matter at will, and that he has an easily roused temper and an easily pricked ego that can bring those powers to bear in an instant, destroying the iAntaresi as her captain was trying to warn Kirk about his passenger and making people who displease him disappear, or transforming them, sometimes horribly, as when he closes up the eyes and mouths of a group of laughing crew members. Kirk, Spock, and Dr. McCoy try to defeat him by overtaxing his powers once he takes control of the ship, but it is only when a ship carrying actual Thesians -- a race supposedly only existing in legend -- makes rendezvous with the iEnterprisei that Charlies power is broken and his crew restored whole. But now Kirk must face a terrible choice about what to do with Charlie risk the safety of others or send him away with the immaterial, wraith-like Thesians, consigned to a life of perpetual loneliness and solitude forever. The covert nature of the mission forces Captain Kirk to act in a manner that to the crew appears unprofessional and downright bizarre, ordering the Enterprise to cross the border of the Neutral Zone, violating the Federations treaty with the Romulans. The ship is soon captured by a Romulan fleet, and Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock are taken aboard the head vessel, where Kirks irrational behavior continues. During their meeting with the Romulans, Kirk and Spock get into a violent confrontation, which appears to conclude with Spocks killing the captain in self-defense. Spock apparently assumes command, but this proves to be a ruse allowing Kirk -- who was in fact merely paralyzed -- to begin his real mission. They find themselves trapped below the planets surface -- with the Enterprise out of range because of a solar storm -- and encounter a mute humanoid woman (Kathryn Hays) and a pair of alien captors, Lal (Alan Bergmann) and Thann (Willard Sage). The two identify themselves as Vayans, and are performing an strange experiment which has already killed the two scientists and threatens to do the same to the three Enterprise officers. The woman, christened Gem by McCoy, proves to be an empath, capable of linking emotionally and neurologically to those around her and healing physical injuries -- sometimes at great physical cost to herself. In some way that the officers cant comprehend, the Vayans experiments have a logical basis, all surrounding Gem, the solar system that is about to be destroyed, and the relationship between the three of them -- but it may cost the lives of one or all of them, as well as that of Gem, to find out what that purpose is. Still under the influence of the Borg -- specifically, his own evil brother Lore -- Data has taken Picard, Troi, and Geordi prisoner, leaving Dr. Crusher in charge of the IEnterpriseI. With only a skeleton crew at her command, Crusher valiantly mounts a defense against the inevitable Borg attack. As it turns out, the ship is not quite back on its own turf, meaning that more adventures must come to pass before the iVoyageris lengthy space odyssey can be resolved. Of the many plot developments transpiring during season five, several stand out Lt. Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeill) humiliating demotion after refusing to obey an order he cannot justify to himself the near-reassimilation of Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) into her old Borg Collective the bleak future envisioned by crew members Chakotay (Robert Beltran) and Kim (Garrett Wang) unless they are able to turn back the clock some 15 years the marriage of Paris and BElanna (Roxann Biggs-Dawson), and their subsequent holographic honeymoon and a foray into chaotic space, where absolutely none of the usual rules of physics apply. Elsewhere, iVoyageris holographic Doctor (Robert Picardo) continues his efforts to become more human and in the episode 1159, Janeway flashes back to the time when her 20th century ancestor saved the world on the brink of the millennium. And yes, season five ends on a cliffhanger. This time out, the iVoyageris technology is captured by a hostile force, leaving everyones fate in the balance. Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide Star Trek Deep Space Nine The Complete Seventh Season 7 Discs DVD Star Trek Deep Space Nine The Complete Seventh Season 7 Discs DVD This third series based on the Star Trek universe created by Gene Roddenberry ran from 1993 to 1999. Rather than revolving around the premise of an ever-exploring starship like its predecessors, Star Trek and Star Trek The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, frequently called DS9 for short, centers on a space station of the same name. The station is positioned very near a wormhole which allows instant travel to and from a distant quadrant of space and is therefore of strategic importance to the political planetary entities that control it. Adding more weight to this premise are the spiritual implications associated with the station living within the wormhole are entities who have no linear concept of time and who are worshipped by the Bajoran people as Bajoran Prophets. This results in Benjamin Sisko, captain of iDeep Space Ninei, unwittingly becoming an emissary to the prophets. Deep Space Nine is generally considered to be a grittier Star Trek series than those of the past, using a distinctly non-utopian style and dealing more directly with war, persecution, insidious political activity, and the sometimes inescapable nature of sacrificing moral principles for the sake of the greater good. Another divisive element that sets DS9 apart from previous Star Trek installments is its tendency to allow a single storyline to continue over many episodes in a serial style. Star Trek Enterprise The Complete Series 27 Discs DVD The first season of Star Trek Enterprise may have begun in the year 2001, but its 2151 A.D. so far as the stars (and the fans) are concerned. Star Trek The Original Series Vol. 4 Charlie X Balance of Terror DVD
Star Trek The Original Series Vol. 4 Charlie X Balance of Terror DVD The starship iEnterprisei has a rendezvous with the tiny survey ship iAntaresi to pick up a special passenger, Charlie Evans (Robert Walker Jr.). Star Trek The Original Series Vol. 12 A Taste of Armageddon Space Seed DVD In this episode of the enduringly popular science fiction series, the starship Enterprise, while on a peaceful recruiting mission, becomes trapped in the middle of an interplanetary war with no weapons or battles, but very real casualties. When a landing party led by Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock arrives on the surface of Eminiar 7, they are immediately informed by a planetary official -- much to their confusion -- that they are the wars latest victims. Eventually they discover the reason behind this odd statement, as it becomes clear that the civilizations of Eminiar 7 and nearby Vendikar are waging war via computer simulation. Once the computer determines the number of casualties in each attack, a matching number of citizens submit themselves to voluntary execution. The planets inhabitants cling tight to their seemingly insane system, holding Kirk and the others hostage, threatening to force them -- and, eventually, the entire Enterprise -- to submit to their own destruction. Their situation appears increasingly hopeless, even when a high-ranking Federation ambassador lands on the planet to attempt a rescue. Judd Blaise, All Movie Guide

With the help of several other high-ranking officers, Kirk attempts to investigate and hijack the Romulan ships cloaking device, a piece of technology that allows the Romulan ships to become invisible. Star Trek - The Complete First Season (1966) - DVD
Going boldly where no man had gone before, Gene Roddenberry's cult phenomenon STAR TREK debuted in 1966 and reflected that decade's optimistic preoccupation with space travel. Set in the 23rd century, the series chronicled the intergalactic adventures of the U.S.S. Enterprise on its five-year mission to explore the outer reaches of space. Encountering a now-iconic assembly of innovative alien life forms such as the Klingons, Romulans, Tribbles, and Khan Noonian Singh, the ship's jumpsuited crew was a then unheard-of font of multiculturism: Asian Sulu (George Takei), African-American Uhura (Nichelle Nichols), and Scotsman Montgomery Scott (James Doohan). But it was the contrasting personalities of cooly logical Vulcan Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy), emotionally intuitive medical officer Leonard "Bones" McCoy (DeForest Kelley), and womanizing ship captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner in definitive overacting mode) that lent the series much of its charm--and spawned a rabid cult following that continues to fuel costume sales and convention bookings to this very day. Star Trek Voyager The Complete Fifth Season 7 Discs DVD
Star Trek Voyager The Complete Fifth Season 7 Discs DVD As the crew of the iVoyageri eagerly looks forward to their imminent return to their home base in the Alpha Quadrant, the fifth-season opener of Star Trek Voyager finds the ships captain, Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), in seclusion, grimly questioning her past judgments of command. Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Star Trek Deep Space Nine The Complete Seventh Season 7 Discs DVD
Star Trek Deep Space Nine The Complete Seventh Season 7 Discs DVD This third series based on the Star Trek universe created by Gene Roddenberry ran from 1993 to 1999.
